Technological change with workers in mind: A toolkit for hospitality employers

The first of a series of outputs from the Reboot project is now out. It’s a pleasure to share a toolkit for hospitality employers on how to bring technological change mindfully and with workers at the centre.

Based on 60+ interviews conducted with hospitality workers, employers and key stakeholders, this document is aimed at hospitality managers and employers who want to bring technological change in a way that benefits their business and enhances customer experience, but also supports their workers and values their experience.

The toolkit comprises 3 parts:

  • It summarises key findings emerging from the study
  • Proposes 10 questions for employers to consider when choosing new technologies
  • Provides guidelines for employers on how to implement new technologies with workers in mind, and for the longer-term benefit of employers, workers and customers.

Do get in touch if you find this toolkit useful, want more information or wish to share your experience (arydzik@lincoln.ac.uk)
